RSB to go LIVE

We promised you that things were going to start happening for Real Sports Bloggers (DOT) com in the new year. One of the areas that RSB has been looking at for the past several months is Internet Radio. We find this to be a powerful way to advertise our site while allowing us the opportunity to showcase the extensive talent on our site.
The beautiful thing about it is that “We the Bloggers” will run the radio station ourselves. We are currently looking at scheduling and programing issues as well as bringing our community up to date on our growing plans.
If you are an active blogger in the RSB community and interested in taking part in an Internet RSB Radio Show, please leave a comment with your contact information or send an email to FlyingPigs05@yahoo.com
Our initial goal is to broadcast 2-3 nights per week for one or two hours per show. Our LONG-TERM goal is to broadcast/podcast 24/7 . Our additional goal is to gain a national sponsor for RSB that will allow additional growth, flexibility and royalties to bloggers and broadcasters. This is a WIN/WIN situation for us but it will take everyone’s committment to attain our goals.
I will keep the community up to date on this topic. Please comment with any suggestions.

Great to have you onboard Ricko. Send me your contact info and when we get all of the players marbles on the table, we’ll start working on schedule, format, teams and topics.
Like I said, this whole thing is going to be run by RSB Bloggers. We don’t have to worry about some “Joker” sticking his nose in or some plus sized know-it-all trying to take it over for her own glory. We step into the shit storm together. We excel together and we learn together. Hate to use cliche’s but the only thing that can stop us from suceeding is US.

I will try and help, too. Even though I might be best suited for sitting 3rd string and carrying a clipboard on the sidelines. If nothing else, I can try to give a few ideas…write some 2nd rate material, etc.
Someone needs to get Smoke on the air.
Also, Demon…you might want to contact TSI to get him on a show or two. The show you 2 did a while back was some solid stuff.
I don’t think Dan can help very much unless we hire a Canadian translator. The guy spells color with a “u” for cryin’ out loud!

I knew it was FP after I read the MOFO line.
If someone whispered “Anal Truck Stop Hookers” in crowded theater I’d look for the Sleestack.

If I heard someone cuss in a crowded theatre, I’d look for all you MOFO’s…mainly Miracle.
Bottom line is that I will be expecting all of the RSB community to get involved with this show. Even if it means pimping our show to your family and friends, sending some emails with a link to our site/radio show. The ideal thing would be to fill 2-4 hours of live broadcast per day with re-broadcast for the remainder of the day.

Great idea, Demon. I look forward to its debut. I will help out as I can, but one must remember that I live on the left coast with all of the attendant time zone problems, not to mention that I have to be in bed by 7 pm (yes, really) to be up at 3 am for work.

If I spelled everything American in high school I would have taken two hours off all my essay writing. I could have had time to watch more sports, study other projects and watch internet pornography on dial-up. Ok, nevermind. Goes to show I was deprived of the finer things in life with dial-up internet (with the biggest motherfucker of a Mac computer).
I am currently sorting out my schedule, career, life etc. When I pan everything out I should be good to go with you guys.

Glad to know that things went well for you. Whatever goals you’ve set for yourself in this endeavor , I hope that you’re able to achieve and succeed in all of them. I’m now being pushed by the girlfriend to go back to school to obtain my Master’s. But as of now I’m not so interested in doing that. I’ve two bachelors in Int Finance and Economics. And so far both have served me well.
The job still pays well and I work with a great bunch of people. So I’m not about to upset the ‘apple cart’ at this juncture.

Yo, I know this is a little late but this is a great idea! Just awesome!
I’m a full time college student and working two jobs so I don’t know how much I could contribute but as my schedule for this semester shakes out I’d like to help anyway I can.
Good luck getting it off the ground and be sure to put a big, fat link to it on the front page so jokers like me don’t miss it for weeks on end.
