06-04-08 Updates
Written by demonicume on June 4, 2008 – 9:16 amLooks like we’ve been having some issues as of late. I ain’t been ignoring you guys, but the last 4 weeks have been amazingly busy. New job, i got robbed, bought a new house, started a new business… whew. Please don’t feel neglected. I see our issues and I’m working behind the scenes to set it all right. Thanks to Flying Pig for emailing me about the issue this morning.
I’ve done a massive upgrade to fix some issues we’ve been having. It’s not that I’mma slackass, but we’re besieged by spammers and hackers and bots. Sometimes they get thru our defenses and the site gets slammed. I do daily back ups so no worries. Every method I’ve devised to keep away the spammers has banned one of our readers. I’ve never banned anyone and I prolly never will. You guys can ban people from your personal blogs, but I don’t cruise your blogs slamming people. If you don’t mind some fly-by-night asshole spamming you, by all means, let it go. Because of the nature of IP address, it’s nearly impossible to stop spammers anyways. So if you show up one day and you get the ‘banned’ message - EMAIL ME admin at realsportsbloggers dot com.
More updates to follow. We’re going to start some contests, give away some shit. I think I have a Blog of the Day script worked out where the community choses the top post - but me, Miracle an Pig will discuss that and let ya’ll know. Also, everyone still blogging here in July will get their very own domain free! More to follow on that.

Sweet, things seem to be working.
Admin bar is currently under construction, but to get to you’re dashboard simply clicky “edit” on any of you’re posts.
To the contest, that shit you are giving away did it come from a back yard in the Chicago area?
And are you giving away crying towels? I know someone who needs one.

Hey, I’ve had a very busy semester and been ignoring my blog like a mofo. I’m interning in DC this summer but hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up and blog like a real man.
Anyway, the site’s looking great. I’ve noticed the spammers but that’s the nature of the game so it ain’t no thing. What kind of business are you starting up and what happened to the whole radio show?

my business is c-netconsulting. people have been asking me to build them websites left and right, i needed a consulting page - there it is.
to be honest, it was actually Miracle’s idea to use wordpress to build a blog for a realtor’s that gave me the idea. once we make the move, i can bring you fellas onboard too.
